Lordswood F.C. is a football club based in Lordswood, which is a suburb of Chatham, England. They joined the Kent League in 1996 and are members of the Kent League Premier Division for the 2008-09 season.

History

Lordswood are one of the newer members of the Kent League, having joined in 1996, although the club was formed in 1897. In the 2005/06 season they enjoyed their best ever finish, despite having finished bottom of the league just a year earlier.

Lordswood were formed in 1968 and played home games at Cliffe Woods for many years before acquiring a home at the Lordswood Sports and Social Club. The Club were successful in local leagues and made the jump to join the Kent County league around 1981. From here they progressed through the Leagues to eventually join the Senior Division and from there ultimately the Kent League.

Many of the founder members of the club are still involved and indeed many of the former players' sons either have played or are currently playing for the club.

Recent promising signings include former Chatham Town players; Samuel Phillips, Bradley King, Luke Blanchard, and Adam Whitnall.

Ground

Lordswood Leisure Centre is a public multi-function sports centre, which is often used to stage local cup finals.
