Joel Bernstein

Joel Bernstein is a musician and photographer. He has taken photos for many musicians, including Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Jackson Browne, and The Band. On some occasions he has played as a backup musician on guitar, keyboards, and vocals.

Joel, while a student at Cheltenham High School (PA), legend says - took some photos of Joni Mitchell in concert. When she next came to town, he showed them to her, she loved them & his successful & fascinating career began.

Bernstein is reportedly working on audio biographic materials for Neil Young - eventually to surface on disc or in writing (or both). He is also the longtime archivist for Joni Mitchell, and maintains the most comprehensive book listing her special guitar tunings.
