Portland Trail Blazers with the sixth pick of the1975 NBA Draft out ofArizona State University , Hollins was bestowed All-Rookie first team honors that season, averaging 10.8 points in 78 games for the Blazers.He was a member of Portland's 1976-77
National Basketball Association championship team, and made his only All-Star game appearance that year. He was a member of the NBA All-Defensive team twice, in 1977 and 1978.Hollins compiled a record of 18-42 as the coach of the Vancouver Grizzlies during the
1999-2000 NBA season . He is now an assistant coach for the relocatedMemphis Grizzlies .On April 18th 2007, the Blazers retired his #14 jersey.
