"Take My Breath Away" is a pop song written by English singer-songwriter Emma Bunton, Steve Mac, and Wayne Hector for Bunton's debut solo album, "A Girl Like Me" (2001). Released as the album's second single in August 2001 in the UK, it debuted and peaked at number five on the UK Singles Chart. It sold 81,007 copies in the UK, and was the UK's one hundred and fifty-first best-selling single of 2001. The music video, directed by Greg Masuak, was shot in Sardinia, Italy.
