501st Legion Southern Outpost

The 501st Legion Southern Outpost is part of the 501st Legion, an international Star Wars costuming club, which has 3000+ members in the U.S.A and 27 countries worldwide. It encompasses the states of Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, and Mississippi. As of January of 2007, the Southern Outpost consists of around 115 active members from those states. Costumes include Imperial Stormtroopers, Scout troopers, Bounty Hunters, Sith Lords, Clonetroopers and Tusken Raiders. Members also help out in local communities. As a non-profit organization, the 501st Legion Southern Outpost has had the opportunity to participate in charity events, children's hospital visits, fund raisers, movie premiers, celebrity appearances, and conventions.
