Richard Anthony 'Tony' Newman (born
17 March 1943 , inSouthampton ,Hampshire ) is an English rockdrummer . He was at various times a member of the bandsSounds Incorporated ,May Blitz ,Three Man Army and T. Rex; and has also worked withJeff Beck ,David Bowie ,Donovan ,Mick Ronson ,Gene Vincent ,Crystal Gayle andSmashers amongst others.Examples of his drumming can be heard in Donovan's "
