- Epic Skate Park
Epic Skate Park is the largest indoor
skatepark in Europe. It is located in theMoseley area ofBirmingham ,England .The skatepark officially opened in
October 2001 in a formerbus depot and since then has undergone much building and development work. For instance, after opening, a giant halfpipe was constructed, making it the largest permanenthalfpipe in Britain at the time. There has since been a larger half pipe constructed at corby skatepark / adreanaline alley (http://www.adrenalinealley.co.uk)However, in 2004 the skatepark was forced to rent out about one quarter of the skatepark to a private company; 'Creation Rock Climbing'. Their arrival helped keep the skatepark open and out of financial trouble. There is also a skateshop, a cafe, skate school and a licensed bar at the facility.
July 2007: Epic Skate Park has closed, Creation has now taken over all 38500sqft of the building once known as 'The Epic Centre'Creation now runs the skatepark as a separate business, and will be working to change the image of the centreover the coming months.
