- Saltovskaya Line
The Saltovskaya Line ( _uk. Салтовська, _ru. Салтовская) is a line of the
Kharkiv Metro . It was the second line of the metro, and was first opened in1984 . The line cutsKharkiv ("Kharkov") on a northeast-southwest axis, making a big northwestern bend as it passes the centre. Part of the track involves travelling on a covered bridge.Timeline
Rolling stock
The line is served by the Saltovskoe depot (№ 2), presentely 20 five-carriage trains are assigned to it. The line was the first in Kharkiv to receive the 81-714/717 models that have become the most widespread in the former USSR and Eastern Europe.
Recent developments and future plans
Since 1986 no work has been carried out on extensions of the line, but two are planned Druzhby Narodov northwards and Ploshchad Uritskogo and Oktyabrskaya southwestwards.
