Created in 1994 as Tikkabik Mac Gaming News, Peter Cohen's MacGaming was purchased in 1998 by MacCentral Online. For roughly a year, MacGaming.com's content existed in a separate section on the site, but eventually, the content was rolled into MacCentral Online completely.

MacGaming.com was once an HTTP redirect to MacCentral Online, but apparently the registration on the name lapsed, and it was purchased by a cybersquatter.
