Adoption

She and her husband have received wide popularity and respect from the Korean public by adopting babies. In Korea, adoption is nearly non-existent because of a strong recognition only for children of pure blood. Many children have been exported overseas for adoption.

In 2005 she and her husband Cha In Pyo adopted a baby girl who was named Ye-eun. The reason for the adoption was to encourage people to adopt children.

They adopted a third child getting help from Korea social welfare foundation in 2008. It was told adopted daughter is just over 100 days. The two named her Yejin meaning the truth of Jesus.
