The Lickerish Quartet

"The Lickerish Quartet" is a 1970 drama film produced and directed by Radley Metzger. The film was written by Metzger and Michael DeForrest. This was the last erotic film directed by Metzger.

Plot

In their castle, a wealthy couple (Frank Wolff and Erika Remberg) watch a blue movie with their adult son, played by Paolo Turco. They decide to go into town and, at a local carnival, spot a woman (Silvana Venturelli) that looks just like one of the women in the movie and invite her over. However, when they watch the movie, parts of it have changed in that the woman's face is no longer visible. Apparently the woman actually is the woman in the movie and as a result, she secretly seduces all members of the family.

Reception

It received critical praise upon its release by many critics, especially Andy Warhol and Vincent Canby as being one of the first films with graphic sex to have Hollywood like production values.
