Godcasting

Godcasting

Godcast is a neologism used to describe a podcast of religious nature, such as Christian music, preaching, seminary lectures, Bible readings, meditations and kids' programs.

The number of Godcasts is growing rapidly. The vast majority have been created by small independent churches although Pope Benedict XVI has begun recording podcasts. [http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/12/27/spark.godcasting]

Etymology

The Godcast Network appears to have been the first to use the term, when it was established as a portal for Christian podcasts in October 2004.
