Peter Canero (born January 18, 1981 in Glasgow) is a Scottish football (soccer) defender and midfielder, who last played for Red Bull New York of Major League Soccer. He is of Spanish descent.

Canero came up through the youth ranks with Kilmarnock in 1997 and stayed with the club until 2004, earning a £250,000 transfer to Leicester City. Canero has been capped for Scotland on youth levels, and was given his first cap for the senior team April 28, 2004 against Denmark.
