He played at the
University of Nebraska , where he became the first freshman starter on the offensive line in school history, and never missed a game. He was suspended indefinitely from the team in a cloud of controversy after fighting off campus. He then enrolled at the University of Oregon, but was again suspended indefinitely and never played a game for the football team. He was a communications studies major.He was drafted by the Rams in the third round of the
2005 NFL Draft . He was the last 2005 draftee to be signed as he continued to hold out for a larger signing bonus. Even though he had not played a football game in some two years it is suspected that Incognito received the $500,000 signing bonus he held out for.He was placed on injured reserve during the 2005 season.
