Homestead High School received accreditation from theNorth Central Association Commission on Schools . Homestead High School was also nationally recognized in 2004 as a No Child Left Behind Blue-Ribbon School, considered the highest honor a school can receive from theU.S. Department of Education . The Homestead Highlanders compete in the
North Shore Conference within theWisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association The Boys Swimming and Diving team won four consecutive state championships from 1997 to 2001.
In 1999, the Varsity Football team won the State Championship.
In 2006, the Highlanders Boys Varsity golf won the WIAA State Championship finishing with the 2nd best score in state history. The team was led by Tyler Becker,
Mike Ratkovitch , Mike Sweet, Morgan Montgomery andAndy Hansen who finished 8 under par individually setting a new state record.In 2006, the Highlanders Varsity Football team won the Wisconsin State Championship defeating
Arrowhead High School . They finished the season ranked # 27 in the nation by Maxpreps.com.In 2007, the Highlanders Varsity Football team returned to the State football Championship but were defeated by Arrowhead High School.
In 2007, the Highlanders Girls Varsity Softball team advanced to the State Championship.
In 2008, the doubles team of seniors Tony LoCoCo and Brant Vogt won the Individual Doubles State Tennis Championship.
