Cheshire local elections

Cheshire local elections

Cheshire Council was elected every four years. From 2009 the county council will be abolished and replaced with two unitary authorities, Cheshire East and Cheshire West and Chester making the 2005 election the final election for Cheshire Council. Voting for the new unitary authorities will first take place on 1 May 2008.
