Karimpuzha is a village in Ottapalam taluk,
Palakkad district . The "Karimpuzha River" is one of the tributaries of theBharathapuzha River . "Bharathapuzha" is the fourth longest riverinKerala ,south India . A famous Sree Rama Swamy Temple is situated on the banks of this River. Temple was owned by Kozhikode Samoodhiripad. Eralpad, the heir to become Samoodhiri, had his "Kovilakam" in Karimpuzha. The Sree Ramaswamy temple is now known as "Dakshina Ayodhya". Famous personalities from this place includes, Karimpuzha Ramakrishnan, Com. Silent Valley National Park and Nalussery Bhagavathy Temple are the nearby attractions. Ottapalam, Lakkidi and Mankara in the south, Cheruppulasseri in the west, Alanallur and Mannarkkad in the north and Kongad in the east are the nearby towns.
