Terje Dragseth

Terje Dragseth is a Norwegian poet, author and film director poet born in Kristiansand in 1955. He made his debut in 1980 with his collection of poems " Offerfesten ". Since then he has published ten poem collections,and also published poems in anthologies og literary journals. In 1996, several of his poems from 1980–1995 was published in the poem collection titled " Du. Dikt i utvalg. "

In 1997 a collection of short stories by Dragseth was also published. This was titled "Den amerikanske turisten". Dragseth has furthermore been involved in film production when he studied to become a film director in Copenhagen, Denmark. Since then he made the short film "America. The recordings 91".

According to the Norwegian literary netjournal [www.nypoesi.net] , he has often been characterized as " an exstatic " in contemporary Norwegian poetry, and is considered to be one of the most prominent voices of his generation.
