Wireless Intelligent Network

Wireless Intelligent Network

Wireless Intelligent Network (WIN) is a concept in development by a committee of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). Its objective is to transport the resources of an intelligent network to a wireless network, utilizing the interim standard IS-41 [http://www.tiaonline.org/search/search_tia.cfm?keyword=IS%2D41] , which was adopted because it facilitates roaming. Basing WIN standards on this protocol allows changing to an intelligent network without making current network infrastructure obsolete.
