- Lyalovo
Lyalovo ( _ru. Льялово) is an ancient village in
Moscow Oblast ,Russia , located on high left bank of theKlyazma River about ten kilometers from its source, one kilometer away from the town ofMendeleyevo , and about three kilometers away from the city ofZelenograd .Lyalovo seems to be one of the most ancient inhabited places in Moscow Oblast. Several settlements were discovered near this village, and the oldest of them date back as far as four thousand years.
The name "Lyalovo" supposedly originates from an
Old Slavonic or a Finno-Ugric word "lyalo" ( _ru. льяло), which means a body of a boat upturned, or a shape similar to such body. The hill on which the village is located resembles this shape.Morozovka country estate, currently transformed into a VIPrest home , is located in Lyalovo. This country estate belonged to the famous family ofMorozovs — one of the richest Russian merchant families.A Church of the

Coat of Arms of Lyalovo was established in1989 . It shows a picture of asheaf , symbolizing one of the first rural picture galleries in Russia that was established there, on a red background symbolizing theBattle of Moscow . The blue waves in the bottom are related to RiverKlyazma and the stone axe symbolized theNeolithic settlements found there. The Kremlin tower in the upper-left corner shows that the village belongs toMoscow Oblast .External links
