Blue Line (Delhi Metro)

The Blue Line of the Delhi Metro system in Delhi consists of 31 metro stations from Indraprastha to Dwarka Sub City with a total distance of 32.1 km. This line is completed and operational.

History

The Dwarka-Barakhamba section of the line was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh on 30 December 2005. It was opened to the public on 31 December 2005.

* 31 December 2005: Dwarka - Barakhamba, 22.9 km
* 1 April 2006: Dwarka - Dwarka Sector 9, 6.5 km
* 11 November 2006: Barakhamba - Indraprastha, 2.8 km

Rajouri Garden is the highest station of the Delhi Metro with a height of over 51 metres.Barakhamba Road is the first underground 'made in India' station.
