Jefferson High School (West Virginia)

Jefferson High School was established in the Fall of 1972 when the county combined Charles Town, Harpers Ferry, and Shepherdstown High Schools. It remained the only high school in Jefferson County until the fall of 2008. Soon to be an in-county rival, Washington High School will open for the 2008-2009 school year.

Jefferson High has sports.

Band and Color Guard

For the 2008-09 school year, the Cougar Marching Band's halftime show will consist of three pieces. The first movement is the theme from Superman, followed by the Halo Theme. Their show ends with music from Circ du Sole called Incantation. With new director, Mr. John P. Lynch Jr., the band is confident they will have a great season. They look forward to the football games and the Tournament of Bands competitions.

Thanks to Mrs. Elliott, assistant band director, and Mrs. Windle, color guard coordinator, for your help with the band this year and in years past!
