Library paste

Library paste

Library paste is a type of glue-like adhesive made from a mixture of either water and flour or water and starch. It is used to bind paper or paperboard. This substance also appears as a common theme within some of the illustrations and stories by the author Edward Gorey. According to a popular urban legend, cole slaw and sausage gravy produced in the city of Louisville, Kentucky generally taste like library paste.
