- PSA HDi engine
The
PSA Group sells a variety of dieselautomobile engines with the HDi designation. Earlier versions were exclusive toPeugeot andCitroën . In 1998 PSA agreed to form ajoint venture withFord Motor Company regarding production of new diesel engines. That partnership makes identical engines available in a variaty of car models and marques. The engines are produced in production plants in the cities ofTrémery andDouvrin in France andDagenham in England, as part of the agreement with Ford Motor Company.One half of the group's production of car is fitted with a HDi diesel engine, totaling to approximately 1.8 million vehicles per year (2007).

The 2.7L DOHC 24 valves biturbo V6 DT17 is also produced by the Ford/PSA joint venture, and is the only diesel engine used in PSA passenger vehicles that was not designed or built by them. This particular engine was designed by Ford at their Dunton and Whitley research centres, and is built in
