Grand Rapids, Michigan was established in 1886 under the name Grand Rapids School Furniture. Their first product was the once ubiquitous school seat that combined a chair and desk. School seating has changed dramatically since the company introduced this innovative design, however, these desk/chair combination school sets are now prized antiques.The company currently serves the education, transportation, office, sports and entertainment industries providing school and bus seating, contract modular office furniture, bleachers, as well as stadium and theatre seating.
