IceGold

IceGold

IceGold was a digital currency exchanger which was founded by Paul Vahur and Mati Malsub in 2000 and closed down in 2008. IceGold OU was an Estonian company.

IceGold used to only buy and sell e-gold and 1mdc. IceGold accepted nine fiat currencies, namely the Australian dollar, Canadian dollar, Swiss franc, Estonian kroon, euro, British pound, Japanese yen, Lithuanian litas and United States dollar with no minimum volumes. IceGold's fees for exchanging fiat currency into digital gold currency were two percent.

Since December 14th, Icegold is no longer trading in digital gold currencies. This is due to new anti-money laundering measures taken by the Estonian government, which will come into affect in early 2008.
