Yezin Institute of Veterinary Science

The University of Veterinary Science () in the village of Yezin, a few miles north and east of Pyinmana, Burma, was established in 1957 as the Veterinary College of the University of Rangoon. In 1964 it became independent from its parent institution and took up the name "The Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science". In 1994 its administration changed hands from the Ministry of Education to the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries. It assumed its present name in 1999.
