Arnstein Rynning Arneberg (1882-1961) was a Norwegian
architect , often considered the leading architect in Norway of his time.Arneberg was educated as an apprentice of
Alfred Christian Dahl inChristiania from 1888 to 1900, and studied at the Royal Drafting School withHerman Schirmer . He also studied with Swedish architectsGustaf Lindgren ,Isak Gustaf Clason , andErik Lallerstedt .He and Norwegian architect
Ole Sverre worked as partners on Arneberg's earliest works, including a proposal for the royal villa in Voksenkollen in Oslo.As an independent architect, Arneberg's work included a large array of residences, office buildings, churches, railroad stations, and interiors. He is most famous for his work on the
Oslo City Hall and theUN Security Council interior design, as well asSkaugum , the official residence of the crown prince and crown princess of Norway.
