Dan Wright (musician)

Dan Wright is the keyboard player for the band Proto-Kaw. A strong soloist, Dan’s creative style and use of odd effects became another trademark with the Kansas II sound. As a founding member of Kansas, versions I and II Dan had a prior history of playing with Kerry Livgren and Don Montre in bands prior to Kansas. After Kansas, Dan played in a few bands in the Midwest, but left music for the real world. Initially hesitant about reuniting with the Kansas II guys at the release party/jam for their Early Recordings from Kansas 1971-1973 CD, he finally relented and is playing with them to this day (Fall 2006).
