Chris Kibermanis was the Liberal Candidate during the 2004 Alberta Provincial Election. Kibermanis represented Edmonton Castle Downs for the Alberta Liberal Party.
Prior to his short political career he was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in 1994. He played three seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Red Deer Rebels.
Chris was ahead in Edmonton Castle Downs by just 5 votes over incumbent Progressive Conservative Thomas Lukaszuk. The Court of Appeal of Alberta ruled that Thomas Lukaszuk won by three votes. Chris had the option of appealing to the Supreme Court of Canada but decided not to. He ran again in the 2008 election, but was again defeated, by Lukaszuk, this time by 2200 votes.
