Students for saving social security is a non-profit organization run by students for students who are pushing for Social Security reform. They are based in Washington D.C.
Jonathan Swanson and Patrick Wetherille founded the group in March 2005. It is who believe social security is an issue that must be addressed by the Congress. S4 has a successful grassroots strategy that involves students in the issue through an active network of 300+ college chapters.
The current Executive Director is Jo Jensen, a graduate of Mount Holyoke College.
