Pennymoor Road

Pennymoor Road

Pennymoor Road is an estate of approximately 400 houses, situated in the Stonydelph area of Tamworth, Staffordshire.

The streets of this estate include Rainscar, Ravenstone, Raygill, Ribblesdale, Scammerton, Standedge, Sykesmore, Tanhill, Torside, Tutehill, Wessenden and Pennymoor Road itself. The names for these streets originated from Yorkshire Dale farm names. They were named after farms, as the land the estate was built on, was originally a farm.

Pennymoor Road has several public amenities, including a local shop, the Pennymoor Road Community Centre, and the playing fields located in land nearby Sykesmoor.

The Community Centre is used by several groups, including the dance group Steps, the playgroup, and local action groups.
