The park, open 365 days a year, is owned and operated by The City of Decatur.

Activities and recreation centers

* 18 hole golf course lies within the Point Mallard Championship Golf Course. Also a driving range.

* A 25 acre, wooded campground

* The Ice Skating Complex

* A water park that features the "Nation's First Wave Pool".

Additional facilities include:

* tennis courts
* batting cages
* hiking
* jogging
* and biking trails.

Celebrations/festivals Held At PT Mallard

* Alabama Jubilee-Memorial Day Weekend May 28th-30th.

* The Spirit of America Festival July 3rd-4th.

* The September Civil War Re-enactment/Skirmish is held from Sept. 4th-5th.

Location

Point Mallard is located just a few minutes off I-65 midway between Nashville, TN, and Birmingham, AL, at Decatur Exit 340 or Decatur Exit 334.
