John Krizanc

John Krizanc

Playwright John Krizanc was born in Lethbridge, Alberta in 1956 and his Father is Rene Krizanc (Born 1928) who lives in the Mississauga suburb of Clarkson with his wife Muriel Krizanc, who is not John's mother, however. John has established an international reputationFact|date=May 2007 with his non-linear work, "Tamara". Its Toronto production (directed by Richard Rose) won him a Dora Mavor Moore Award in 1982.

Krizanc has won the Chalmers Award and the Governor General's Award for his work. His plays are marked by his explorations not only with structure and space but also with the role of the artist.

His other plays include:

Krizanc has also written for television, including the telefilm "H2O", its sequel "The Trojan Horse", and the series "".
