ACADEMA is a Slovenian software development company. The name of the company is an acronym forAdvanced Computer Aided Design Engineering Manufacturing Agency.

In the early 90's, the company developed software for Civil Engineering, Mechanic of Structures and CNC Machining, but later on, in the mid of 90's, moved to Geographic Information Systems [ [http://www.ec-gis.org/ginie/doc/D367_CS5_VF.pdf IST-2000-29493 Portfolio of Case Studies, University of Sheffield, European Commission - Geographic Network In Europe] ] and Geostatistics also. In the late of 90's, web services were developed, based on DHTML, ActiveX and Java. Software engineering background is based on: Modeling of Processes, Numerical Analysis, Optimization Methods and Geometric Modeling.
