Molly Manley introduced the gentle folk of Kolar Gold Fields to the game of 'Scrabble', outside the sailing club house here in (1953) at Bethamangala. Everyone would sit around a table, under a large tree and play the game, which had only recently come into vogue. The menfolk would drink beer, in moderation naturally, and the ladies pims and soda while all the troubles of the world would be solved. If you believe that you would believe anything !!!
