Diamond drilling

Diamond Drilling is a highly specialized industry used for mineral exploration around the world. Most commonly using wireline and core bits with diamond encrusted matrix. To drill holes to maximum depths of twelve thousand feet (4000.0 metres), for the recovery of core used in verifying mineral deposits. Such as gold, copper, lead, zinc, and diamonds. Drilling can take place underground and on surface; surface using either skid or fly type rigs.

Core drilling is used mainly in construction and controlled demolition. It entails a professional using a drilling motor with a diamond tipped coring bit to drill through concrete, steel and other such hard and robust materials used in construction.
