Horgoš

Horgoš ( _sr. Хоргош or "Horgoš", _hu. Horgos) is a village located in Kanjiža municipality, in the North Bačka District of Serbia. It is situated in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. The village has a Hungarian ethnic majority and its population numbering 6,325 people (2002 census). Near the village there is the most important national border crossing point between Serbia and Hungary.

Famous residents
