"Temple of Low Men" is Crowded House's second studio album, released in 1988.

Album

The album's lead single, "Better Be Home Soon," hinted at a much darker tone than the debut album. Although it was critically acclaimed, the album did not sell as well in the U.S. as the debut. The album did better in Australia and New Zealand.

"Temple of Low Men" was produced by Mitchell Froom, recorded by Tchad Blake, and mixed by Bob Clearmountain. Bassist Nick Seymour created the album cover, as he is also an accomplished artist. Seymour creating the album covers became a Crowded House tradition through this.
