Priscilla Hernández is a Spanish
singer -songwriter and fantasy illustrator, born in La Palma (Canary Islands ), and now is residing inBarcelona, Spain . Priscilla is also the founder of the independent record label Yidneth RecordsHer music can be classified as 'Ethereal gothic' or dark new age, based in the spectral spellbinding of fairytales, concept that also nourishes her fantasy and fairy art. She's also known as "Yidneth" which is not her artistic name but her project as illustrator. Priscilla also administrates, along with the Spanish composer Héctor Corcín, a platform for the promotion of independent new age artists around the world [http://www.nuevasmusicas.org Nuevas Músicas NM] .After some demos and collaborations in soundtracks and other cds and projects, late 2006 she released her official debut album "Ancient Shadows (the ghost and the fairy) which compiles 19 of her songs as well as two booklets with her illustrations. The album won the award of "Best new age album" (Independent music Awards (IMAs) and she was also nominee as best new age vocalist in Los Angeles Music Awards. This project is specially inspired not only by the fantasy world of fairies and ghosts that inspires her artworks but also by the
sleep paralysis disorder and hypnagogic and hypnopompic hallucinations occurring between dream and awareness. She also collaborates actively with the British authorDavid Riche well known for supporting fantasy and fairy artists worldwidePriscilla Hernandez will be performing music from her album Ancient Shadows in the US in 2008 at two major concert events. On August 1st she will perform "The Fairy" compositions from Ancient Shadows on Good Faeries Night at
Faerieworlds , a mythic concert event outside Eugene, Oregon. On Saturday evening August 2nd, she will perform "The Ghost" compositions from the album on Bad Faeries Night. Both performances will include Spanish pianist Hector Corcin, as well as Kelly and Emilio Miller-Lopez of the band Woodland, and Christine Gunn and Jarrod Kaplan of Trillian Green and Cirque Du Soleil. In the fall, Priscilla will appear in the US again at FaerieCon in Philadelphia on October 11th at the Bad Faeries Ball.External links
