Ultimate Invasion

Ultimate Invasion is a comic book mini-series that takes place in the Ultimate Marvel universe. Springing out of the “Tomb of Namor” arc in Ultimate Fantastic Four #24-26 that introduces Namor and Atlantis to the Ultimate Universe, the series will be called "Ultimate Invasion" and will be written by Brian Bendis based on an idea he’s had for 1½ years. The artwork will be by Michael Turner, which will be his debut into Ultimate Marvel. Quesada described the events as a "big climactic battle at the end of 2006."

News regarding Ultimate Invasion recently revealed that the mini-series is nothing more than an internet rumor. According to Brian Michael Bendis: "There is no Ultimate Invasion. That is an Internet rumor. There is a project that I’m working on with Marc Silvestri that is untitled. Somehow it’s been connected to this Invasion project. That’s not what it is. It’s a little too early to talk about the Silvestri thing. But Silvestri went and blabbed, so I can say I’m working with Silvestri. But it’s a while away. It’s a slow burner."
