Carla Marinucci

Carla Marinucci is a political reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle,a Hearst publication, specializing in California state gubernatorial politics. Marinucci is a veteran California political reporter. She has won more than two dozen national and state awards. Marinucci is largely responsible for breaking the story that Governor Arnold Schwarzeneggerwas an editor at various bodybuilding magazines that advocate steroid use. After this information became public, Schwarzenegger announced that he would end his contracts with these magazines. Marinucci wrote many SF Chronicle opinion pieces on the 2007-2008 Presidential Primary, particularly focusing on Senator Obama's campaign. She also appears frequently on the KQED (San Francisco) weekly news program This Week in Northern California.
