Togo Skates

Togo Skates, often compared to Heelys and inline skates, are a relatively new phenomenon within the United States. Unlike the popular Heelys, the Togo Skates are a strapable set of wheels that require no special shoes for use. The wheels, similar to those of the inline skates, line up with the heel of the wearer and require the skater to slightly raise their toes to skate. This allows the wearer to be able to walk, run, or - by shifting their weight to their heels - roll.

Although some practice is required, it is possible to perform tricks such as jumps, spins, and soft braking. The basics, such as wheeling in a straight line, can be learned within a few minutes. Once mastered, Togo Skates are a much more efficient way to get from place to place and offer a new alternative to bikes, skates, or other alternative transportation in urban areas.
