Anil Prasad created "Innerviews", one of the Internet's first online music magazines. It initially launched in 1994.

"Innerviews" focuses on eclectic, rock, jazz, world music, hip-hop and avant-garde artists. The magazine remains a mainstay of the online music journalism world with more than 350,000 visitors to its website weekly. The magazine is also [http://www.innerviews.org/scope.htm acclaimed] by many musicians for its in-depth approach that enables artists to speak at length about topics that matter to them without the constraints of advertising-based editorial requirements.

Books

Prasad is currently working on his first book. Originally based on "Innerviews" website content, the book's focus has expanded significantly to include a great deal of exclusive material, including in-depth, previously unpublished interviews with Bjork, Bill Bruford, David Sylvian, Martin Carthy, Tangerine Dream, Noa (Achinoam Nini), Bill Laswell, Jonas Hellborg, Ani DiFranco, David Torn, Public Enemy, Vernon Reid, Jon Anderson, Bela Fleck, and others. The book is due to be published by Abstract Logix in Q3 2009.
