Light Force

Light Force

The Light Force is a fictional power housed inside the maidens of the Royal Family in the videogame, . The game's main antagonist, Vaati the Wind Mage, is after the Light Force so that he can become a God. Princess Zelda is the current holder of the Light Force. Vaati petrifies her when he discovers that she has powers of her own, and later, when he discovers that the Light Force is housed within her body, he kidnaps her and conducts a ceremony to extract it. Vaati manages to extract most of the Light Force prior to being interrupted by Link, but is stopped before the process proves fatal for Zelda and an absolute success for himself.

Much speculation surrounds the exact nature of the Light Force, and it's relation to the much more well known Triforce. At present no real guess can be made as to whether the Light Force is absolutely a different power from the Triforce of Wisdom, generally wielded by Princess Zelda, or if it is one and the same.
