Providence, Rhode Island and was built in1989 . It is home to theBrown University Bears men's and women's basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, wrestling & squash teams. It was built adjacent toMeehan Auditorium on Lloyd Street as a replacement forMarvel Gymnasium , which was located next toBrown Stadium on Elmgrove Ave. The building was named for Paul Bailey Pizzitola '81, whose father contributed $2 million to its construction. The lobby of the building is named for Brown attendee (1887-89) and football legendJohn Heisman , Brown class of 1891.
