- Stuart Neild
Stuart Neild (born 1970) is an English supernatural and horror author.
He was born in the town of
Northwich . His debut novel released in 2004, "A Haunted Man", is set in his home town and the North West towns surrounding it. The novel introduced the world to the fictional ghosthunter Boag-Munroe. A movie based on the novel and the Boag-Munroe character is in development with aHollywood film company, Simplicity Pictures. The producer isRik Shorten . This achievement stands out even more for the fact Neild's first novel was only available as a print on demand novel, and e-book and mostly only available via the internet. Stuart is the first person and as it stands, only person to achieve this ever. His first novel, even with little publicity, gathered good reviews and some chart success in the Amazon book charts. In August 2005 Stuart signed to Dragoon publishing. His refreshing take on the English ghost story mixes legend and supposedly true ghosts with fiction, turning the whole thing into a frightening and entertaining epic adventure. It is said he has dragged the traditional Victorian ghost story kicking and screaming into modern day, with its conspiracy theory subplots and its use of realistic hauntings, not to mentionEVP aka electronic voices from the dead.Stuart's parents are Samual and Elizabeth Neild.
2006 saw the re-release of A Haunted Man with Dragoon Publishing. Also due for release are Spring-Heeled Jack Awakes, based on the legend of the fire spitting demon Spring Heeled Jack, a collection of short stories and another Boag-Munroe title.
