WIXV (95.5 FM), known as "I-95 - The Rock of Savannah", is a rock music station targeted to Savannah, Georgia. It is owned by Cumulus Broadcasting.

Programming

The format is about 70% general classic rock with about 30% newer artists such as REM, Pearl Jam, and the Black Crowes. The current rock format has been on the air since 1986 when they switched from top-40. Before this, 95.5 was WSGF, with a format that could be considered as hot adult contemporary today. Took WIXV calls in 1983. Since Cumulus took ownership in 1997, I-95 shifted from what could be considered as active rock to a more album oriented rock sound.

The station takes its branding from Interstate 95, which runs through the Savannah area, only skirting city proper on the west.
