Pombas

Pombas is a town in the island of Santo Antão in northwestern Cape Verde. The town is the 20th largest community in Cape Verde after Nova Sintra. Pombas is linked with roads linking with the rest of the island. The mountains and deforestation cover the area around Pombas.

A part of the population have moved to other islands and other parts of the world. The GDP and living standards are low. A part of the population live in poverty.
