Winfield Myers (born 1960) is an American
journalist and publicintellectual inPhiladelphia ,Pennsylvania . Born in Georgia, Myers is a graduate ofYoung Harris College and theUniversity of Georgia , and attended graduate school in history atTulane University and theUniversity of Michigan . He taught on theGreat Books andRenaissance history at Michigan, world history atXavier University of Louisiana , medieval history at Tulane, and early modern history and the philosophy of history at Georgia. He is director ofCampus Watch , a project of theMiddle East Forum in Philadelphia. Formerly, he was managing editor of "The American Enterprise " magazine, a monthly magazine published by theAmerican Enterprise Institute , and managed the Washington office of the magazine. The former CEO ofDemocracy Project , Myers is editor of a conservative college guide, "Choosing the Right College", with an introduction by former Secretary of EducationWilliam Bennett (Eerdmans, 1998; 2001), and past editor of theISI Study Guides to the Liberal Arts . He was formerly senior editor of two conservative publications, the "Intercollegiate Review " and "Campus magazine " and is author of a widely distributed pamphlet for parents and students, “Asking the Right Questions in Choosing a College.”External links
